National Director for UCA Redress Ltd

Sarah Lim has been appointed as the National Director of UCA Redress Ltd – the Uniting Church’s national vehicle to engage with the National Redress Scheme for people who have experienced institutional child sexual abuse.

Ms Lim is currently Director of the Office of the CEO for UnitingCare Queensland, and has a background in institutional child safety, public policy and advocacy.

A large part of Ms Lim’s work in recent years has related to the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse, including supporting the Church in the implementation of the learnings from the Royal Commission.

Chair of UCA Redress Ltd Anne Cross AM has welcomed the appointment.

“Sarah has worked closely with survivors of abuse and brings legal, policy and governance skills, as well as a deep understanding of the Church, that will support the UCA’s commitment to survivor-led, equitable redress processes,” said Ms Cross.

Ms Lim will take up her role from 7 March and will be based in Brisbane.
