Assembly Communications Officer

The Assembly of the Uniting Church in Australia is seeking a person with excellent writing and editorial skills and a passion for digital media for the role of Communications Officer.

The team that supports the communication and marketing objectives of the Uniting Church Synod of NSW and the ACT needs a new Digital Marketing Coordinator.

The successful applicant will take ownership of creating and maintaining communication across key websites and social media channels, creating lots of written content and assisting with the strategic role out of organisation-wide plans and initiatives.

The Uniting Church of Australia (UCA) is one of the largest not for profit and faith-based organisations in Australia.

Uniting Mission and Education (UME), as one of four boards of the Synod of NSW and the ACT, has the role of leading and resourcing the Synod in discipleship, mission and leadership in order to serve Christ. UME also assists the Church to provide education, theological insight, strategy, research and resources for leadership, discipleship, ministry and mission. UME manages the operations of United Theological College (UTC), a partner in the Charles Sturt University, School of Theology.

The Uniting Church’s theology, and its values commitment made in response to the Royal Commission, establishes a clear commitment to providing the Church as a safe place for all people. The National Safe Church Unit, in which this role will sit, is a unit of the Uniting Church in Australia, tasked to provide and resource the change required to deliver the above commitment.

The Presbytery & Synod of South Australia is seeking applications from enthusiastic, gifted and highly motivated leaders to this executive management position.

Reporting to the MediaCom Education Board, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will provide strategic leadership and management oversight of the production, procurement and distribution of resources to individuals and churches in Australia and New Zealand.
