Australia hosted the Fifth Asia Pacific Regional Interfaith Dialogue in Perth from 28-30 October 2009. Co-sponsors of the dialogue included Indonesia, the Philippines, and New Zealand. The theme for this year's Dialogue was Future Faith Leaders: Regional Challenges and Cooperation. In addition to the co-sponsoring countries, Brunei, Burma, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, East Timor, and Papua New Guinea participated in the Dialogue.
Rev. Seforosa Carroll, Convener of the Relations with Other Faiths Working Group, was an official delegate of this year's Dialogue.
