Adelaide, 10 January, 2010
About 30 people turned out in 43 degree heat to Pilgrim Uniting Church in Adelaide to hear about the Parliament of World Religions. The Parliament took place in Melbourne during December 2009, attracting members of all faiths from all over the world.
A short video by Geoff Boyce, member of the Uniting Church’s Working Group on Relations with Other Faiths provided a visual overview of the event.
The gathering also spent time in small groups discussing their hopes for interfaith in Adelaide in the future. Since then a small group has met to further the suggestions that were made.
